Day 359. We Three Honeybones.

Breaking with tradition we're having a Spanish themed Christmas lunch although the musical accompaniment of "We Three Kings' played beautifully by Bea reminded us it's the 25th December and not just another Honeybone lunch.

Happy Christmas everyone.

Day 112. ¡Que aproveche!

Behind these doors a smörgåsbord of taste sensations awaits you. No that's not right. This is a Spanish restaurant, it's not Swedish. Basically the food here is exceptionally good.

Introduced to me by someone who knows a thing or two about good food, Ibérica in Marylebone leaves you spoilt for choice and I've been lucky enough to eat here on more than one occasion.

Try the jamón Ibérico, chorizo lollipops with pear alioli and the paella, accompanied by a glass or two of cava or fino. You won't be disappointed.

¡Que aproveche!

Day 34. Sizzle and drizzle.

It's fair to say that investing in a KitchenAid has been money well spent. Never have cakes been made with so little effort, buttercream whipped to such a smooth consistency and in addition to its usefulness, it's just so damn sexy to look at!

Lemon drizzle cake and a Victoria sponge are the results of today's time in the kitchen, along with a delicious chicken and seafood paella using a saffron mix that my friend Jane Flint's Mother brought back from a trip to Spain.

I couldn't decide which photo to use but the lemon drizzle is sitting on a plate that Bea hand painted when we are at Center Parcs so for that reason alone I've picked this one.

It must be time for a coffee now and maybe a slice of cake. But which one?
