Day 280. My favourite fruit.

Our new house will be lovely one day. The garden too. At the moment though they're both far from pretty so I have to enjoy other pleasures in our new home like raspberries in October. At least some things are beautiful because the house certainly isn't. Yet.

Day 275. Step outside.

Finally we're able to let the cat outside. First we had to keep her inside because we'd moved house and now live in a village rather than the middle of a field. Then she developed a corneal ulcer which required surgery and we had to keep her in even longer. At last she is able to venture into the garden and hopefully we can wave farewell to the litter tray for good.

Day 169. Not the Blue Peter garden.

This is the quiet space in the grounds of St Martin's at Shouldham primary school. Clearly it's not the Blue Peter garden, here in rural Norfolk, although the shield always reminds me of the badge.

I never got one.

I'm not bitter.

Day 147. Busy doing nothing.

Not totally but at least I'm not working. I have done the usual washing, ironing and cooking but I've also sat in the garden and read a bit of my book. I've drunk wine before 7pm and indulged in several episodes of The West Wing as I prepared uniforms and work clothes ready for next week.

As bank holidays go, it's been a pretty good one.
